The very talented members of six rather diverse clubs run by the Music Department, will be coming together with our BTEC music students to impress family and friends with an amazing repertoire at this year’s Christmas Variety Show.

Our corridors are already ringing to the sounds of their enthusiastic rehearsals, with at least one group meeting up every day of the week.

* On Monday lunchtimes a group of upper school singers called 'Senior Singers' can be heard rehearsing close-harmony songs.

* Tuesdays after school is Rock Band Night when drummers, guitarists, keyboard players and singers combine to rehearse rock classics.

* On Wednesdays we have a fabulous Ukulele Club followed by the ever-melodic School Choir.

* Thursday lunchtimes’ Drumming Club gives the students the opportunity to be guided through the wonderful world of the drum kit.

* And finally lunchtimes on Fridays are the rehearsals for our school musical 'Evita' which will be staged on 1st, 2nd and 3rd July 2015 here at school.

Ed Hintze, concert organiser, said: “Everyone is working incredibly hard and I’ve a feeling this might just be our best-ever Christmas show.”

With a recommendation like that, who could resist?  Be sure not to miss it!

The Wey Valley School’s Christmas Variety Show will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 10th December in the Will Mackaness Hall. Tickets will be on sale through Wisepay or from the Finance Office at £3 for adults and £2 for students.
