Something fishy.....help needed!

Something fishy.....help needed!

Staff at the Wey Valley School arrived this week to a Biblical scene of flood, destruction and horror, not seen since Anne Widdecombe was last on Strictly!

The school’s 12 year old acrylic fish tank decided to burst, flooding the classrooms and corridors with a tsunami of water and our prized collection of tropical cold water fish.

Sadly, the school’s insurers are unable to help us with a replacement fish tank..... but you can!

Due to the heroics on the part of our loyal Science technicians, only two fish were lost....

Time is pressing, we have borrowed a small holding tank from our local Sea Life Centre (thank you) but it is too small and only a temporary solution.

Paul Hartley, second in charge in the Science team added, ‘We would love to replace our tank so our students and future generations get to enjoy and study the fish as part of our Science and Animal care courses. We have been lucky to have such a resource to support teaching and learning in our school and it would be a real shame to lose it.’

If you can help in any way, the students and staff at the Wey Valley School would be extremely grateful.  The school has set up a crowd funding page at
