Supporting pupils with medical conditions (policy) 

SENDIASS service leaflet 

Support is provided for students with learning difficulties and for students with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is delivered in school through:

Supports students in classrooms with a team of Teaching Assistants

Supports a wide range of special needs such as and including literacy, numeracy, ASD, ADD, ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome, Dyspraxia, visual and hearing impairments, Dyslexia (SpLD), Epilepsy and physical disability

Withdraw students for intensive teaching programmes one to one or in small groups

Liaises with outside agencies

Works with students from Year 7 to Year 11 across the range of abilities

Works with students with social, emotional behavioural and mental health needs across the ability range and curriculum

Supports students struggling with issues surrounding: Stress, Anxiety, Low Self Esteem, relationships, Lack of Confidence, Depression, Grief and Loss, Attachment, Anger, Aggression, ADHD, Truancy, Organisation, School Phobia and Exclusion

Supports students in small groups / 1:1 

Works extensively with outside agencies to benefit each individual student
