An evening of dance & song!

Around 150 students of the Wey Valley School took part in an exciting evening of Song and Dance to a packed hall including songs from Billy Elliot, Little Shop of Horrors and Matilda.

The concert included the show casing of Key Stage 4 Performing Arts and Dance coursework as part of the students' BTEC assessment projects. The extra-curricular singing and dance clubs also performed with professionalism, sharing their enthusiasm for the Performing Arts with the audience, and there was a fantastic turn out of the new year 7 cohort raising the roof in song. The performance finished with a rousing Christmas finale of that very well-known Slade song performed by the whole cast and audience.

Mrs Ashmore, Head of Performing Arts congratulated all the students, ‘it was a fantastic evening of entertainment and all of our students performed really well.  I would also like to thank the staff, who worked behind the scenes, enabling a smooth and professional student performance for family and friends to enjoy’.
